i will be headed down to mexico in the next few days. i am used to going a few times a year with teams of up to 180 people at a time. but this year we’ll have less than 30. this is in direct relation to the drug war being fought there. i can understand people wanting to be safe and for that reason we only go places where we can assure our group will be safe.

while we are down there we always try to build a house for a family down there. it cost approximately $3,500 to build a house for a family in he poorest communities of the boarder town of reynosa. and that is easy to get when we have upwards of 100 people and numerous groups and churches sending those people. but this year we were planning of getting $7,000 in hopes of building 2 homes for people. homes that would allow families to live in more than one room that operates as bedrooms, kitchen and living room. but only a few days out from our departure date we have a little less than $1,000.

i am writing this asking if you would consider helping out with the costs of these houses. i would love if we could get enough together to build at least one of the houses that we were planning on building. if anyone reading this would like to help you can e-mail me at wchagans@harvestevangelism.org and i can tell you how to get the money to us and let me know where to send your tax-deductible receipt.

also if any of you are considering helping out i would ask that you first take a look at our website listed below to make sure that we are a legit ministry. there are so many scamps out there these days, you can trust everything you read on a blog.

God Bless and thank you for reading this,

winchester h.
